The Corkscrew Winter Wine Fair – 20th November 2011

Every year, The Corkscrew on Chatham St. in Dublin organise two wine fairs to help raise money for different charities. The 2011 Winter Wine Fair is taking place on Sunday, 20th November, in Dublin’s Westbury Hotel and is being held in aid of Focus Ireland.

I attended the wine fair held earlier this year and can assure you that it’s a great afternoon out. There are over 100 wines to taste, so my advice is arrive early to taste some of the sparklers and whites, pop out for some lunch near Grafton St., and then come back to taste the reds. Well, that’s actually the advice that the guys from the Corkscrew gave me when I first attended their wine fair and it’s never let me down! There are also good discounts available should you wish to buy any of the wines.
